This driver is not working for me after a fresh install from the Oct 17
alternate cd. I did install the restricted-modules for the generic
kernel and they loaded. The Access Point is not associated and dhclient
fails to connect.

The old madwifi in the 2.6.15 kernel on a separate dapper install that
I've upgraded to current edgy, does connect with no problem.

I've also installed from that above cd on my laptop using an Orinocco
card and that connected during the install.

Is this person correct that there is a missing wlanconfig tool and if
so; why is it still missing? I've had this problem with the 2.6.17
kernel for well over a month and have reported it. I'm not hearing
anything back and wonder if it is being worked on and just not solved
yet. Any update?
