I'm running 8.04 and also experiencing this problem. Even though the number of users experiencing this is small, they are an important demographic cultivate because most of them are using a VPN for work purposes. If they're seeing this problem, it means that they are trying to do their job while using Ubuntu. The more we see Ubuntu in the workplace, the more accepted it will become everywhere and the easier it will be to justify using for everyone.
