I experience this bug as well. Long or fast scrolling with the scroll
wheel disrupts the audio in Rhythmbox until the scrolling stops. This
happens even while I am playing a local file. I am also able to
reproduce this result with mplayer although Rhythmbox seems to be more
sensitive. I originally observed this disruption in Firefox but I have
since reproduced the effect by scrolling through a long text file in
gedit. It seems more likely to happen while scrolling quickly or for a
long duration. It may also be worth noting that I use a rollerball mouse
which makes scrolling fast extremely easy. Still, the disruptions in
audio happen during what should be normal use.
I'm running Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 32 bit on a 3500+ AMD Athlon 64 processor with 1
GB of RAM.
