I get the same errors on two machines running up-to-date hardy. - Nautilus cannot access URIs begining with smb://, ssh://, ftp://, dav://, etc - The "Connect to server" dialog contains the "Custom location" as the only service type
BUT I just set up another user "test", opened nautilus and everything worked like expected. computer:// ssh:// ... all worked.
