Sorry to be still there but, after a morning of db form editing, the problem came up again. Tried again to remove javasettings_Linux_x86.xml without success, even tried to completely remove .openoffice.org2 but no luck. Got to revert to backups again and lost a bunch of macro editing work, too bad...
