Last week i upgrade my kde 4.0.4 to the kde 4.1 beta packages provided by nixternal (whomever this may be :D). And see, i connect my cam and it works, i can access it under kde 4.1 beta with dolphin 4 and konqueror 4. Didn't try kamera ( i dont even know if a backport kamera 4 exists).
