Could you post which paths are being scanned? I was getting a similar crash. One of my paths was $MOZILLA_HOME/plugins When I removed it, nspluginscan no longer crashed. I'm guessing this is because $MOZILLA_HOME is not set. You might have a similar problem. If you can confirm that that's causing it, maybe the problem can be fixed (if it hasn't already--the config file specifying the paths might have hung around from an earlier konqueror which was buggy).
