FWIW, upgrading Miro to 1.2.3-rc1 from the upstream Miro repo at osuosl doesn't fix the SIGSEGV:(
Upon closer inspection, the segfault might be tied to libxine1, and not miro itself. I've tried installing, then running, gxine, and that one segfaults, too.
