I've got more information, when booting in safe mode the system shows
this, and then some info about the drives and then just freezes:

Driver 'sd' needs updating - please use bus_type methods

It show something about the drives but I don't know where Ubuntu saves
the kernel log (dmesg) and if i chroot to Ubuntu's root and make a dmesg
it seems to show me information about Arch's boot logs (this is
something I'm not sure of).

"Important qualifier: don't blindly follow those instructions, as they could
(further) damage your system if that's not the problem. First, check whether
you are using the sort of optical drive that bug 213639 concerns. If so, then
it is probably worth trying to follow the instructions."

Nope, I'm not using a VIA chip and my drive isn't a DVD Burner...
however i've got a Samsung CD Burner and an LG DVD Reader...
