Some more information ; on the net I found the following trick : in file "/etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc" in section [X-*-Greeter] I added the following line NumLock=On
Now when kdm (my logging manager) displays the logging window the led is on as expected BUT if I log out and I log in again the led is not on ; so there is still something wrong. Another problem : there is no way to set "NumLock=On" in file "/etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc" by using the setting od connections in KDE which is against the philosophy of KDE. As for the time being I cannot log in a Gnome session due to another bug I cannot tell wether the led would be on in these conditions. -- [Gutsy-Kubuntu-Hardy8 .04]Led on numeric key pad not ON https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238532 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
