Hi, Same annoying problem here on a new desktop with a newly installed Ubuntu 8.04 (details below). When I boot, the network comes up without a problem, but it is quite slow, as compared with my wireless laptop (factor 5-10 slower). After some time (variable duration) suddenly the connection is dropped and the message "[ 1612.220846] wlan0: No ProbeResp from current AP 00:18:4d:36:bc:c5 - assume out of range" appears in dmesg. When I stop the network and restart it again the connection is reestablished. Any options to get rid of this bug? Thanks Mike
