This is a new bug for me as of Hardy.  And rmmod'ing ehci_hcd doesn't
help any.  It makes it worse, even.  It totally kills my USB ports so
that syslog/dmesg/etc show absolutely nothing when the USB device is
plugged in instead of throwing an error.  Re modprobing ehci_hcd doesn't
bring it back either.  Syslog *says* my USB ports are back, of course,
but they're still altogether non-functional, not recognizing that
anything's been plugged in.  The ehci stuff happened quite a long time
ago, though, didn't it?  Why would I only start experiencing this bug
with Hardy?
