Exact same symptoms running Gutsy or Feisty and the Marvell 88E8001 built into the Asus P4P800 motherboard. Both the skge and sk98lin drivers are affected (had to #define SK98LIN_ALL_DEVICES to get it to work with the 88E8001.) Problem only occurs for me when simultaneously downloading data from multiple sources (or multiple connections to a news server).
