Blacklisting video didn't work for me. Well... not completely anyway... it fixed the issue with multiple updates after pressing Fn+Arrow, but didn't change my brightness. Also, it got rid of my /proc/acpi/video directory (duhhh), so i couldn't even change the brightness manually...
