Hello, This is really a bug. If there is special character in the ESSID, the network will not be displayed in the network manager. In my case, it's the character "é" that is not recognized. I have tried the fix proposed by 刘其帅 and it seems to work (adding exporting LANG at the beginning of the /etc/dbus-1/event.d/25NetworkManager script). With this fix, I can see the ESSID in nm-applet properly.
Now I can see the network but I can't connect to it. I don't know if it's related to the network manager or if it's a problem with the router. I need to investigate a little more. ** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid => New -- Wireless unseen if essid with German accent "Ü" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/95133 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
