I can confirm that Stefan's build fixes the problem on a Toshiba M200 tablet.
(A bit difficult to test since I normally use it in X, with the nvidia driver, which isn't built for this; I switched back to the nv driver, but had to stop the X server before suspend because it doesn't resume properly.
