RC-1 has been released, and the bug is fixed in that version. What's the best forum for pursuing answers to the questions I posted earlier in this issue? I'd like to contribute to documentation (perhaps a FAQ) to which maintainers could refer when asking less experienced users to install and test versions of software packages which aren't available by default from the package manager.
