Thanks for the suggestion Erik :) Ok so I figured out Ive got a Via Rhine II VT6102 version 7c ethernet nic. Apparently that uses the via-rhine module. So I did my fast way of testing this instead of having to wait for it to "sleep":
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo ifconfig eth0 down [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo ifconfig eth0 up [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo rmmod via-rhine [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo modprobe via-rhine [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ route Kernel IP routing table Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ As you can see, the route table seems worse using this method. The problem exists. Seems only a reboot fixes it, and this is a repetitive difficult problem thats preventing me from feeling that Ubuntu love :( -- wired ethernet not available on resume from sleep https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/111282 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
