Hello Béné, I'm can't say for sure. I actually purchased a new computer in early April which I put Hardy on (still in Beta at the time). The new computer is a Dell M1330 (also a laptop) and it has not had that problem with 8.04 and has been working wonderfully for so far running Ubuntu.
As for the E1505, I still have it and is being purchased by a friend when they come back from a summer trip. I will be helping them install some Linux distro on it, most likely Hardy, so we shall see how things go then. For now though, this bug is out of my life and hopefully, from the sound of your experience, has been resolved completely with 8.04. When I start playing around the E1505 again, if I see this pop back up for any reason, I'll write back. -- Shutdown hangs on ethernet ports in Dell Inspiron E1505 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197715 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
