Yes there is hope because it's not reproducible with either version of Qt in 
Hardy or Intrepid. But because it's not reproducible it's very hard to find out 
the root cause. 
It's likely due to an old version of the library lying around or a third party 
app installed somewhere. Just a few suggestions, check that the link 
/usr/lib/libQtNetwork.so.4 points to the file shipped with the package, check 
output of ldconfig -v, check that there's not another version of the library 
somewhere under /usr/local, check the value of LD_LIBRARY_PATH, ... Except a 
wrong version of the library, I hardly can see what could be the reason of this 
undefined symbol.
