Thanks Roel. I just bought a $21 ASUS WL138G V2 PCI from new egg. So it's worth a shot and cheap enough that if it doesn't work - eh...at least I tried. If this does work out of the box (or even if it doesn't) I really hope Ubuntu decides to update their nearly worthless https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/WirelessCardsSupported page. I understand it is a community based one but it doesn't have Ubuntu releases (that I could find) as columns. I understand the "free" folks would say to "support vendors that do opensource or friendly hardware". Hey, I'm all for that. But where in the heck do we find an easily found and readable list to do just that? One cannot take a stand to do the right thing and then not give someone the means to do just that. Very poor marketing done here with an LTS release. Which surprises me as one of Ubuntu's strength has been solid marketing on other areas. *shrug*
