Thanks for your report and debugging. /var/lib/acpi-support/vbestate gets written at boot (by /etc/init.d/vbesave), and currently the Ubuntu pm-utils reads from this file by design. By the way, the saving you refer to in 20video is now in 99video (as of 1.1.0-1ubuntu1).
Are both /etc and /usr/lib scripts run in this version? This should be handled by the run_hooks() function, and I don't understand why the kernel should make any difference. Can you set PM_DEBUG and try again (setting it in /usr/lib/pm-utils/pm-functions is maybe the easiest). Please attach your log file. -- DISPLAY_QUIRK_VBESTATE_RESTORE does not save state https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/228894 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
