Correction to my previous post
(https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/221213/comments/15
): kernel 2.6.20-16-generic, which is still in my GRUB list, does allow
resume from Suspend and Hibernate. It works very slowly (not sure if
there is a real advantage compared to full Shutdown/restart), and you
get odd screen artifacts sometimes, but it does work.

I should also mention that the (proposed?) 2.6.24-19-generic kernel is
actually worse for me than 2.6.20-16-generic, because Suspend/Resume
does not work in 2.6.24-19-generic (Hibernate/Resume works, but still
very slowly). See my post at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/226279/comments/113
for details.

Kernel 2.6.24-16-generic is not in my GRUB menu -- where would I get it?
