Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
I have got something very strange happening. I am running Ubuntu 8.04 with Nvidia Beta driver (needed for my recent graphic card) I had no problem with the system until a few day ago... Now I have got X crashing multiple times when using Firefox and one time when using Thunderbird. On my system I can reproduce this very easily in Firefox. On any web page I press ctrl+f (to search), then when typing in the search box it crashes "randomly". By randomly I mean it doesn't crash only just any input... for exemple if I enter two "c" it crashes all the times, but not with some other letter for exemple. Beside than I've been using my computer for some other thing (gaming with wine...) and I didn't have any other X crash. I'll attach my lspci and Xorg.0.log Tell me if you need any more information / log. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Strange X Crash - Can reporduce when searching a page in Firefox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238014 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
