Can you please start the desktop CD again, add set -x to the second line
of /lib/partman/check.d/03partition_too_small so that it looks something
like:
#! /bin/sh
set -x
...
Then run the install again just as you did before and attach
/var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman from the live environment to this
bug report after the dialog appears?
