I'm having the exact same issue. I'll try and include a screen shot showing that the icon is actually there, but seems to be broken or very small. Here's what the clip shows:
1. I first show that the trash icon is not visible in the bottom panel by right clicking and highlighting the empty trash icon. 2. I remove it and create a new panel on the right side of the screen. (note i selected a small portion of the screen to limit size of ogg). 3. I add the trash app to the new right panel. 4. I change the back ground color of the panel to get a really good idea of where the trash icon is. You'll see it as a thin line that updates slightly slower than the background color. 5. After some effort on my part (trying to find the location), I am able to then show the proper right clicking menu, revealing the trash applet is indeed there. Hope this helps. My lspci is as follows: ~$ lspci | grep VGA 00:05.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation C51 [Geforce 6150 Go] (rev a2) If you need other specifics of my system, please let me know. ** Attachment added: "trash-icon-bug.ogg" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/15062478/trash-icon-bug.ogg -- trash icon unvisible https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/235804 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
