Hi Shang, I'm reassigning to the 'linux' kernel package and the canonical-kernel- team. Since you mentioned there is a workaround, I wouldn't consider this as a high priority SRU for Hardy. However, you referenced a patch that looked interesting in comment 4. Do you know if the customer is comfortable building and testing an Ubuntu kernel with that patch reverted? Or do you know if they'd be comfortable doing a git bisect to narrow down the offending patch? http://www.kernel.org/doc/local/git- quick.html#bisect .
Also, the upcoming Intrepid kernel was recently rebased with the upstream 2.6.26 kernel. It might be good for them to give that a test a as well once it has successfully built - https://edge.launchpad.net /~kernel-ppa/+archive . We'll want to verify this is not an issue with the upcoming release. Thanks. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: xserver-xorg-video-intel => linux Assignee: Bryce Harrington (bryceharrington) => Canonical Kernel Team (canonical-kernel-team) -- P3: Gutsy freezes when loggin out or shutting down https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/236822 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
