Dear Sir/Madam
First of all I want to thank the Kubuntu team and the Canonical
organization for the excellent work you do.
However, I am afraid that there is a proverbial spoon of tar in the barrel
of honey, or, may be it is more appropriate to say --
the bugs in the honey.
Now, about the honey and bugs.
Honey
Live CD, Kubuntu 8.04. 64 bits,
Computer Dell Dimension E521, approximately one year old; at the moment it is
in good order: nothing abnormal.
Bugs
1.
When I received Kubuntu 8.04 64 bits CD, first thing which I did was trying
to read my gmail using the received CD as a live CD.
I have failed to do it using Konqueror browser.
During three different logins into my gmail account, I clicked on different
links many times, but no message screen was
open, and, so, I could not access and see my email.
After I have clicked on logout link of gmail account, the following
message appeared on the screen:
"A script on this page is causing KHTML to freeze. If it continues to run,
other applications may become less responsive.
Do you want to abort the script?".

During one logout I received the following message
"The desktop entry file
/usr/share/apps/d3lphin/servicemenus/amarok_addaspodcast.desktop has an
invalid menu entry addAsPodcast.",
though I did absolutely nothing except clicking on my gmail links (many
times).

Before ending Kubuntu sessions, each time I have tried to unmounted my
external HD drive (which I mounted to record
the messages which I cited above -- I was using live CD, and, so, I should save
the messages on the external drive).
In this case, I have received the following message
"The device was successfully unmounted, but could not be ejected"
So, I should completely shutdown the computer to be sure not to harm the
external hard drive.
Let me in the end apologise to you for bringing you this undesirable
message.
