I confirm this bug. My error message:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo xm create /etc/xen/pardus2008.hvm
Using config file "/etc/xen/pardus2008.hvm".
Error: Device 5632 (vbd) could not be connected. losetup -r /dev/loop0
/d/pardus2008.iso failed

disk line in .hvm config file:

disk = [ 'tap:aio:/d/xen/pardus2008.img,hda:ioemu,w' ,
'file:/d/pardus2008.iso,hdc:cdrom,r']

if I remove the cdrom image section and leave it like:

disk = [ 'tap:aio:/d/xen/pardus2008.img,hda:ioemu,w'  ]

Then it launches the BIOS screen.
