Truth be told, I have no idea. I suspect you'll need someone better informed than me. But I'll ask a few more questions, because I can hopefully guess what information will be useful:
Does it give you any potentially informative messages? You say it's while loading CD modules, does it give any error message? What is the something that it says about DVD/CD drives? Do you have any unusual optical drives? Can you try booting the system with optical drives unplugged? If you have the time and willpower, can you reinstall the system, preferably from a fresh live-CD, in case there was some sort of corruption. Or use the same disk on another system, and see if the error occurs there.
