Updated Manager today brought 2.6.24-18-generic to 32 bit HHeron which didn't boot until I edited menu.lst adding pci=noacpi to the end of the kernel line. I'll have to manually switch off the power as usual after shutdown I expect. I'm mystified why my 64 bit HHeron works normally and doesn't require any modification to menu.lst. Perhaps suggests there's not a problem with my hardware?
