This isn't really a bug, but can you please run: sudo dpkg --configure -a sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade
Now you should have a fully up to date system, and you can proceed to install wine sudo apt-get install wine You may want to add the wine repositories before installing wine, rather than getting the version from the Ubuntu Repos, see http://winehq.org/site/download-deb Please post back your results, then we will invalidate this bug report, assuming it works.
