: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HardyUpgrades shows one way to upgrade from LTS to LTS. there is no additional info. instead of hitting the check-button you could try : sudo apt-get update, sudo apt-get upgrade (this action is more or less the same as the check button.) are there any errors?
