I can confirm this problem with nautilus and samba shares using nautilus
2.22.3 along with a few other problems.

The following is from  my .xsessions-errors file:

Initializing nautilus-share extension
seahorse nautilus module initialized

** (nautilus:6236): WARNING **: Unable to add monitor: Not supported

** (nautilus:6236): WARNING **: Can not calculate

** (nautilus:6236): WARNING **: Can not calculate
_NET_NUMBER_OF_DESKTOPS

** (nautilus:6236): WARNING **: Can not get _NET_WORKAREA

** (nautilus:6236): WARNING **: Can not determine workarea, guessing at layout
present. 

Nautilus-Share-Message: Called "net usershare info" but it failed: 'net 
usershare' returned error 255: net usershare: cannot open usershare directory 
/var/lib/samba/usershares. Error No such file or directory
Please ask your system administrator to enable user sharing.

I don't even use samba.
