Public bug reported: Everything was working fine on Gutsy.
Upgraded to Hardy and now the wireless network will not connect after booting up. However, manually running: sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart ...restores the connection. Don't want to simply add a restart script to the rc. Cannot find anything obvious in the logs. Got no help from the forums. dmesg: [ 119.978966] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): eth1: link is not ready [ 121.254865] eth1: Initial auth_alg=0 [ 121.254874] eth1: authenticate with AP 00:16:01:d2:ae:14 [ 121.255801] eth1: RX authentication from 00:16:01:d2:ae:14 (alg=0 transaction=2 status=0) [ 121.255809] eth1: authenticated [ 121.255813] eth1: associate with AP 00:16:01:d2:ae:14 [ 121.257308] eth1: RX AssocResp from 00:16:01:d2:ae:14 (capab=0x11 status=0 aid=2) [ 121.257314] eth1: associated [ 121.261062] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): eth1: link becomes ready [ 128.032356] eth1: no IPv6 routers present lshw -C network: description: Wireless interface product: PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection vendor: Intel Corporation physical id: 0 bus info: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:02:00.0 logical name: wmaster0 version: 02 serial: 00:18:de:d0:77:64 width: 32 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: pm msi pciexpress bus_master cap_list logical ethernet physical wireless configuration: broadcast=yes driver=iwl3945 ip=192.168.2.16 latency=0 module=iwl3945 multicast=yes wireless=IEEE 802.11g Laptop: Acer Travelmate 3040 Anymore info required, just let me know. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Hardy upgrade from Gutsy wireless problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/237202 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
