It is still an issue with firefox-3.0RC1. This is related to another bugreport complaining about firefox's inability to detect which programs are installed for which mime-types. Instead you have to select the executable from a directory by hand. Resolving that bug would also solve this one. Unfortunately I cannot find it right now... Maybe I'll look for it later
