I too have this problem - <rant>I had to switch from kontact/kmail because of the "HTML is evil!" attitude for SENDING messages (odd, very, very odd.) </rant>
Anyway, I tried the Evolution's attachments on 2 computers and 3 accounts - this problem is NOT "undecided" but very DECIDED a problem! HOWEVER, I (for some reason) do NOT have a /etc/gnome/defaults.list file - so NO FIX for me. YES - I did try the linking in para2 - HELP!
