Well, since I used the bug reporting thing, i guess it must be evince i was using, it is whatever program reads a pdf when you double click it. i don't find it hangs when you click on a link. It doesn't do anything. If you double click, it selects it as if for copying. Right-clicking the selected link does not give an option to go to the specified url. This means that you have to copy the url, open firefox or a new tab in firefox, paste the link, and press go to get there. This kinda puts you off bothering, especially if there are a number of links to click through to. It seems pretty odd to make a pdf reader without this functionality.
