Thank you for your bug report. In order to help finding the cause of
your particular issue, can you tell if you see the ubuntu logo during
boot before the welcome screen appears? If not, can you compare the
resolution of your screen between the one in System / Preferences /
Screen Resolution and the one in the /etc/usplash.conf file? If these
are not the same, can you change the resolution in /etc/usplash.conf to
be the same as the one in "Screen Resolution" and tell if it fixed your
issue?
