Hello Waldir, sorry for teh delay. Glad you could find a way around the initial problem. Weird/funny that installing FF2 fixed your crashing/freezing problem.
I've been using FF3+ Sun JDK6 for early this month to access the Banco do Brasil website, and never ever experinced a single hang. MAYBE installing FF2 did some upgrades to some configuration files that fixed your problems.
