I figured out why is this happening. When I first submit the bug report above, I am using a motherboard with VIA C3 Samuel 2, which is a 686-class CPU but WITHOUT the "cmov" instructions.
Now I have upgraded to a new motherboard with VIA C7-D 1.5Ghz, which is a 686-class CPU WITH "cmov" instructions, now the problem gone away. So I suspect it is another "C3 cmov" problem causing Segmentation fault during installation of openjdk.
