I have the option also greyed out, although not for the same reasons. I think it happened when I vim-edited /etc/network/interfaces to change from DHCP to static IP. I don't exactly see the connection but that's the last thing I remember doing before this problem.
Also, I notice that the admin tool Network now has a button to unlock (what?) before I can change options. I've recently upgraded from 7.10 to 8.04 and I never needed to unlock anything (I think the button was not even there). Finally, maybe unrelated, but when I use Network Tools and I press Configure for eth0, I get an error "The interface does not exist". -- [hardy] 'Connection Information' is greyed out in pop-up menu when right clicking on Network Manager applet https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/197946 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
