I don't know if it is related but just before that, I tried to suspend the laptop but it failed (suspend is far from reliable here). Therefore, I had to press the power button for 5 seconds to switch it off. Then I unplugged the power cable and I booted the laptop again -> Got the error.
I can't remember if, the previous times I experienced this bug, it was the same scenario or not.
