Another issue:
I rebooted my system and the command /usr/bin/v4l2-ctl -d /dev/video1
--set-audio-input=0 didn't work.

I have a webcam USB that takes the device /dev/video0
My Hauppauge is in /dev/video1

I removed my webcam, rebooted and now sound in my Hauppauge is working.
There's something wrong about how ivtv or v4l2 is handling the devices.
