It worked for me for a few days, until they yesterday updadet the openvpn blacklist. Now everything that works with a key is down again. I can not understand, why a core part of Ubuntu, security, is being handled so casually. It is entirely impossible to use Ubuntu in a production environment, if things like this happen, not just once, but persistently. There can be no second-guessing, when dealing with security and connectivity.
