I just installed 8.04 on a new machine that has an older Microtouch- based screen. By default X coordinates are find but Y is reversed. Swapping MinY and MaxY cause the pointer to get stuck at the bottom. Tracking through the code, I indeed found that *conversion_proc() is no longer called. I filed an Xorg bug (http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16069) and they say it's fixed in the current tree, for release as 1.4.1. I haven't checked to see how thoroughly it really is fixed, as it sounds like each driver now must do the conversion before posting the event, and that means every driver needs to be fixed, including evtouch and mutouch.
Hopefully it is fully fixed and an Ubuntu update will bring in 1.4.1 soon, so I can get this kiosk machine going. Meantime I'm going to try to patch up the mutouch driver to just reverse Y. -- Uncalibrated and can't calibrate with 0.8.7-2 on Samsung Q1 Ultra https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/163850 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
