No success with any of the suggestions so far... 1. Did an update with hardy-proposed enabled and upgraded my kernel just now and rebooted to the new kernel but it didn't fix the issue. 2. Commented out 127.0.1.1 and still have the issue 3. Started synergyc with sudo and problem still persisted.
