Hello, I'll directly start: ~# ls -l /usr/lib/libcups* ls: cannot access /usr/lib/libcups.so.2: No such file or directory
Note the "cannot access". Also. see this result: :~# ls -al /usr/lib/ ls: cannot access /usr/lib/libcups.so.2: No such file or directory ?????????? ? ? ? ? ? libcups.so.2 Maybe there's a file-system error and cupsys might not be a problem after all? I'm not very skillful in this topic and only making guesses. However I'll try to help as much as I can (although I won't be available until Friday). Note also, that this problem happened on a rented "virtual server" so I can't fsck or similar (in case it might become useful for debugging) Greetings, Frederik Braun Michael Vogt schrieb: > I reassign and milestone it, this needs to be investigated > > ** Changed in: cupsys (Ubuntu) > Importance: Undecided => High > Assignee: Ubuntu Kernel Team (ubuntu-kernel-team) => (unassigned) > Target: None => ubuntu-8.04.1 > > ** Tags added: dapper2hardy > > -- upgrade from dapper to hardy fails https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/229304 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
