It appears that the problem has gotten worse with the Hardy release. While I've made the gconf changes necessary in Gutsy to get the icon to display and those changes are still present in the current gconf configuration on Hardy, the icon does not display. The ssh keys do still appear to get cached and work, but the seahorse icon does not display at all ever.
