Since I preferred the default setup, where the Trash Icon was available at the bottom right corner of the lower panel, here's what I did: 1. On an empty space at the Desktop, right-click and "Create Launcher..." 2. Type: Location ; Name: Trash ; Location: trash:/// ; Comment: _anything_you_want_ 3. Then Ok. Now you have a launcher on the Desktop. 4. Drag the launcher you just created to the lower panel. 5. Move it to the right-most corner, where it was supposed to be. 6. Right click on that new panel launcher and go to Properties. 7. Click on the Icon box so that you could change the icon to what it's supposed to be. 8. A dialog should come up where you have options of a few icons. Copy-paste this to the URL box [/usr/share/icons/Human/48x48/places/user-trash.png] For some reason, clicking browse and going to that location does not work. The files don't appear, even after showing hidden files. 9. Click Ok. It's been working for me for a day now. Hope this helps. -- Trash Icon is missing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/230667 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
